Delight
Once upon a time, in the wild flower meadow
Where butterflies dance from cup to cup.
The high white clouds didn’t stop the sun caress
the patchwork fields. I laid down to rest, a chance
to contemplate and reflect. The grass pollen dust
on my bare feet mingled with the crushed grass.
The air was sweet and the wind, not a breath.
Along shadow afternoon, warm and fair,
to nothing in particular I stared.
How can I give to know.......
..........this height of height,
........this flow of flow
Where awakened thought in truth would go
Amid this pleasant scene........
..........the will to give this passion stream
To express in sheer delight..........
..........In flashes like a lightning strike
My thoughts are frolicking leaping, lambs
And laughing, stretching, clapping hands
Thoughts unspoken, hair raising gleam,
Of Bursting revelation held in serene
Shot to a mental orgasmic array,
Illuminating, infinite, scattering spray
To the peak of the mountain story,
To look over, and see the glory
How can I give to know...
This height of height........this flow of flow
This natural state ....... that all could go
Clean blood, clean mind,
The place no drug could ever find
pure delight and truth combined
