Morning glory
Misty morning dawning, bird song echoes calling
Pearls of dew the webs adorn
Dawn chorus heralds the waking morn
Sunbeams split through sleeping trees
To warm the earth, that some nights freeze
Golden glen and hidden dean
Shadows cast by broad Oak beams
Thick wooded roads and shaded trails
The forest path where light avails
Musky earth sweet scented breeze
The dappled copse in copper leaves
A barking Fox returns from the night
A pheasant calling, in fright takes flight
The sleeping forest to wakening realm
Beneath majestic Oak and elegant Elm
The rising sun burns the mist away
Dawn revealed a brand new day
For millennia past and yet to come
Morning glory song is sung
